Getting Hitched, Entry 10: Sketch it!

Massive apologies I’ve been so very quiet on here for a few weeks.

Wedding planning has been so hectic but very enjoyable and we’ve achieved so much already ready for our big day which is now in 1 and a half months!!!!

I thought I’d take the time out to sit back and reflect on the last couple of weeks and talk to you all about Part 1 of my HEN DO!

On Saturday 25th June, I took a trip to London with my maid of honour and bridesmaids to kick off my bridal celebrations. I wanted to go somewhere a little special where we could sit down, eat, drink and talk talk talk! I don’t get to see two of my girlies that often so wanted to make sure it was a time to catch up and enjoy ourselves as well as celebrate.

We were so lucky that the horrible weather held off and the sun was out as well as PRIDE CELEBRATIONS! So the atmosphere down oxford street was so amazing with the parade, music, dancing and such a positive energy. It was the perfect start to the day!

Once we managed to make our way through the crowds of happy people, we made it to SKETCH! Now…if you haven’t been to sketch before, just think Wes Anderson film set mixed with a shoot from Elle Decor with humorous Illustrations by David Shrigley thrown in too! IT’S AMAZING!

There are a variety of themed and decked out rooms within Sketch and we decided to have an afternoon tea in The Gallery with cocktails afterwards in The Glade. The Gallery interior is very Wes Anderson with sickly sweet decor mixed with rose gold accessories and marble tiled floor. The Glade was a green bohemian dream with vintage styled wicker furniture and oriental details. The staff are dressed in beautiful uniforms and the food was incredible, with a chance to take away what you can’t eat in little Sketch Goody Bags.

So, here are the photos of our trip!….. [ as well as a few professional ones from sketch website!]
